Be Excellent, People Notice It

Oprah Winfrey a global media mogul and one of the highest paid personalities in the world in her powerful commencement address to Spelman graduating class of 2012 was profound.

She highlighted excellence as one of the greatest mindsets of very successful people and her illustration was quite interesting,as she illustrated with eating out at @tacobell restaurant .

Though very simple but spot on.👌

So fast forward to this Thursday when my friend @wuraolaoduntan and I met up at a restaurant in Victoria Island for lunch ,I noticed the details and I couldn’t help but recall Oprah’s keynote address on my way home.

Somehow the exact thing played out.

We had been there before but this time it was different. The way the waiters paid detailed attention to us was remarkable and it was as though they could read our minds and our lips!😊 at the slightest need.😁🤣

We chatted happily on thier spontaneity as we could effortlessly spot ‘excellence ‘,having both worked with #multinationals for so many years we knew this as the heart of the core values for impact. She was the Country Manager and I was the Country finance Controller at @Etihad Airways ….🤣..(.Yes let me flex small nau 🤣)

Even in very little things people notice when you pay attention to them and they love it….just as we did😋

It was not only ‘the what’ they did that mattered but ‘ the how’…and this happens to be a significant aspect of performance appraisals in #multinationals.
Always put some thoughts into that which you are doing……whatsoever your hand finds to do ,do it so well and be flat out fantastic!👌 Grab it as though your last only chance .Ecclesiastes 9v9-10 (msg)

Be excellent, people notice you!
Let excellence be your brand,not just logo and colour.

Determine to use every experience, every opportunity to do the right thing and very well,

When you are excellent, you become unforgettable, people remember you and that is how you also stand out.

My friend went out her way to deal generously with the waiters….you needed to be there 😃

Unlimited Mindset

A simple definition of gate is: A hinged barrier used to close or open a wall or fence. Gates can shut you out or in, I am sure we all know that fact😝. Gates hinder and prevent access. It is a point of entry into a space so also is your mindset.

It is a point of entry to your space, your own true treasures🎁 deeply seated within you.

A limited mindset can be synonymous to a gate of brass and bars of iron within your very self….(That little box) called brain in between your 2 ears can practically shut you out of your resourcefulness and treasures of unlimited opportunities if its locked 🔒.

Limited mindset is like a viral disease 🤮which spreads through the body and then incapacitates it(Gist for another day).

This gate of brass and bars of iron otherwise known as ignorance needs to be smashed down with the intervention of insight, enlightenment, education, cultivating reading habits (which could actually expand your brain cells )😁😁😁, and higher intelligence (or higher intels) I normally call it that 😎….and of course the right network and social capital.

These are some of your arsenals! Employ them all!!

They help you think big!!

This season ,be ready to bring on the additions!
Lengthen your stakes ,break out!!!!!

Stretch out your curtains! Increase your capacity!!

Spare no expense in investing in yourself(Mindset)

You need that expansive mindset now more than ever!

It’s a new dawn baby!!!!

Guess what? Your mind is not just an ordinary mind,No !!!!!! It is an equipment 🛠⚒ for you to enable you reflect the intelligence of the Spirit of God and the ingenuity of God here on earth to bless humanity.

Tweaked Mindset

When you handle the common things in life in an uncommon way, you will command the attention of the world.(George Washington Carver).

Carver(my cousin😆😅) @washingtonpost stated this when his mind was tweaked by God ! and he was able to generate over 200 products from the common peanut that you and I eat everyday.

Carver (my 1st cousin,😆🤣😅)was NOT able to unlock any of these goodies from peanut until his mind was unlocked by God!….For your information he actually asked God to show him the mysteries contained in a peanut and God did…….the rest ,as you know it is history.

You can tell I love his story….I keep calling him my cousin…🤣🤣🤣

When you have wisdom, you will think and perceive differently, and your results will be outstanding while you stand out!

This week, may your mindset be tweaked and may you standout!
