Finding Yourself Course

My name is Teni Oduntan and I studied Journalism and Business at the American University Washington DC, Class of  2020. 

I took the Illuminator’s academy 2-day course. I am proud to say that I found the course to be very helpful and the instructor, The Illuminator, absolutely delightful.

 I was able to learn a lot about the significance of my ability and talents. The class was tailored to my personality, interests and my specific talents, and the instructor was very kind, attentive, enthusiastic and well-learned on the topic. It was very interactive and was one-on-one, so it felt less like a seminar and more like an informal conversation. 

As a girl in her twenties, I was able to get a better perspective of my ability and the fact that not every talent or skill is conventional…..and that is ok. The course focused on the importance of nurturing one’s individual talent and getting it to its fullest capacity. 

I had a very enlightening experience with Ms. Yejide as she reinforced the importance of positive reinforcement and self-affirmations in order to achieve one’s dreams, believing in yourself and your abilities is the key to others believing in your abilities and investing in them. It is the car that drives you down the road of success, despite the fact that it will not be easy and there will be challenges along the way. One major thing that stuck with me throughout the whole course was the fact that “Challenges come into your life, to invoke pressure to bring out your true talent.”

I would definitely recommend the class for young people who seek to uplift themselves and are seeking to find their talents. Again, thank you very much for the session.
